Folder G.88. Herbison-Evans, D., various dates 1961-1971. Herbison-Evans worked in Richards's laboratory first as a student for Part II of the Final Honours School of Chemistry and then for the degree of D.Phil.

Folder G.91. Hill, H.D.W., 1964, 1967-1969. After working in Richards's laboratory as a postdoctoral research assistant, Hill moved to California to work for Varian associates.

Folder G.92. Hill, M.W., 1949-1953, 1955.

Folder G.93. Hinshelwood, C.N., 1931, 1958, 1966-1967. The 1931 item is a letter from Heisenberg to Hinshelwood. The 1958 item is a typescript of an article by Hinshelwood on the Physical Chemistry Laboratory for the Oxford Magazine.

Folder G.94. Hodgkin, D.M.C., 1978-1980, 1982. Relates to commissioning of a portrait of Dorothy Hodgkin (paid by individual subscription) to hang in the Royal Society's rooms in London. The commission was accepted by Graham Sutherland who died having completed the preliminary sketches only and the commission was then undertaken by Bryan Organ. During the same period Henry Moore agreed to make drawings of Dorothy Hodgkin's hands, also for the Royal Society.

The correspondents include Sutherland, Organ, and Sir John Cornforth who initiated the proposal for a portrait and organised the appeal. There are letters addressed to Moore but no replies.

Folders G.95-G.97. Hoult, D.I., 1968-1977, 1981, 1983. Hoult did D.Phil. research with Richards and then worked as departmental research assistant in Richards's laboratory responsible for the design and construction of the equipment used. 3 folders covering research and career.

Folder G.98. Howarth, O.W., 1965-1967. Howarth did D.Phil. research with Richards and postdoctoral work at Columbia and the National Physical Laboratory before taking a lecturership at Warwick.

Folders G.100-G.101. IBM United Kingdom Limited, 1979-1984. Richards was a director of IBM UK.

Folder G.102. Illsley, N.P., 1973.

Folders G.103-G.104. Imperial Chemical Industries Limited (ICI), 1962-1965, 1970, 1977-1979. G.103 chemical samples, ICI Fellowships. G.104 possible collaborative research between ICI and Oxford University on NMR in the biological sciences.
