Folder G.51. Eggleston, B.C., 1950-1953, 1956.
Folder G.52. Eland, J.H.D., 1968. Recommendations.
Folders G.53-G.54. Elliott Electronic Tubes Limited, 1961-1967. This correspondence is 'concerned with German frequency synthesisers for which Elliott's were agents and with high power microwave klystrons made by Elliott which I needed for dynamic nuclear polarisation work'.
Folder G.55. Evans, D.F., 1950-1955. Evans did D.Phil.research with Richards ('thermochemical investigations of molecular structure') and postdoctoral research in Chicago (R.L. Mulliken).
Folder G.56. Farrar, T.C., 1968, 1971, 1976.
Folder G.57. Ford, P.T., 1953, 1956. Ford did D.Phil. research with Richards supported by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
Folder G.58. Franconi, C., 1967. 1969. Invitations (declined) to meetings on magnetic resonance at Cagliari.
Folders G.59-G.65. Freeman, R., various dates 1951-1984. Freeman was a pupil of Richards at Lincoln who, after an outstanding undergraduate career, did D.Phil.research with him on 'chemical applications of nuclear magnetic resonance'. He spent 1957-1959 researching in Paris under A. Abragam and R.V. Pound, and 1959-1963 as Senior Scientific Officer at the National Physical Laboratory under J.A. Pople, before taking up a post with Varian associates in California. In 1973 he returned to Oxford as University Lecturer in Physical Chemistry. In 1987 he became John Humphrey Plummer Professor of Magnetic Resonance at Cambridge. 7 folders on all aspects of research and career.
