Custodial History

This set of books belonged in the 18th century to William Gostling, the owner of the Batten organ-book (MS. Tenbury 791) and of the well-known set of part-books at York Minster, as well as other important manuscripts. Subsequent owners were Highmore Skeat, who added two anthems of his own in his own hand, W. J. Porter in 1809, and Joseph Warren.
