Set of four part-books containing Latin Motets. Quinta et Sexta Pars bound together, c 1600
One of four surviving part-books in a set (MSS. Tenbury 341-344). The Bassus book is missing from the set and the Quinta and Sexta Parts are bound together; here, when two folio numbers are shown in the list, one relates to the Quinta pars and the other to the Sexta pars; when more than two folios are shown, the numbers refer to other voice parts (not present in the appropriate part-books). The first four motets included in MSS. Tenbury 342-344 belong to a separate collection and are not present in the Superius part-book. The original pagination of all the four books begins with motet 'Emendemus' and ends with 'Decantabat'. Further motets are in MS. Tenbury 342 alone. Copied by a single scribe employed by Edward Paston of Norfolk.
