Comprises three notebooks containing: draft verse (including early notes for 'Birthmarks' and 'Solomon'); notes relating to Magdalen College's Florio Society [the college poetry society]; copy of typescript poem 'Side drum, kettle, drum, base drum'; various notes on literature; and brief diary entries, c.1978-1986.

Also includes notebook containing pasted newspaper cuttings relating to Mick Imlah, 1983-1995.
