(fol. 3); fols. 5v-11v relate to the capture of Penacerrada, [June 1838], with (fols. 6v, 9) sketch maps showing the terrain and deployment of forces around the town, and (fols. 13v-14) sketch plans of the castle at Ulizarre and Penacerrada. There appear to be no entries between September 1838 and March 1839. Fols. 16v-27 describe the campaigns of May 1839, including the Battle of Ramales, with sketch plans of (fol. 20v) the fortified houses of Ramales (fol. 21) the fort at Guardamino (plan and elevations), and (fol. 21v) the terrain around Guardamino. At fols. 25v-26, 33v-34 and 61v are sketch maps of terrain, only the last showing places, including Bortedo and Antuniano [Antuñano]. After fol. 23 entries undated. From fol. 31v to the end the pencil writing is too faint to read any more than a few words.
