Mainly Parker, Garrett & Co. correspondence files. Comprises:

  1. Letters to Parker, Garrett & Co. from Selwyn Dennis regarding permission to perform Wilde's plays, particularly A Woman of No Importance and typescript letters from Henry Dana regarding same [23 Nov-7 Dec 1914]. With wrapper endorsed: 'Wilde, deceased. "A Woman of No Importance" Mr. Selwyn Dennis. Parker Garret & Co."
  2. Agreement and correspondence regarding A Woman of No Importance and other plays, including: typescript and manuscript letters between Robert Ross and Henry Dana [1907]; letters from Ross to Martin Holman regarding permissions [1915-1917]; letters from Lilian Baylis, The Old Vic [1935]; and agreement with Majestic-Film Gesellschaft regarding the film rights of A Woman of No Importance [1936].   4. Letters from Methuen & Co. to Messrs Parker Garrett & Co. with copy typescript letters from Thomas M. Miller regarding use of Ave Imperatrix in the Cape Times, 29 Aug-23 Sep 1914. With blue wrapper endorsed 'Messrs. Methuen & Co. Ltd. re. "Cape Times", "Ave Imperatrix" P.G. & Co.'
  5. Licence between Robert Ross and Maurice Browne to produce Salome at the Chicago Little Theatre, Chicago, Illinois, 1917. Not signed by Browne and endorsed in pencil 'Inoperative...Little Theatre Failed'.
  6. Copy correspondence (typescript) regarding contracts dealing with the rights of [the estate of] Oscar Wilde deceased, Charles Russell & Co. 37 Norfolk Street, Strand, 1890-1905. Dated 2 Aug 1906.
  7. Agreements between Oscar Wilde and others: 1 and 3. Charles Wyndham, signed by Wilde [13 Feb 1895 and 17 Nov 1894]; 4 and 7-8. Elizabeth Marbury [10 May 1894 and 1 Apr 1893]; 5.   8. Correspondence file of Robert Ross relating to the Oscar Wilde Estate, mainly regarding copyright, etc., with occasional reference to the war, 5 Jan-26 Dec 1917. Includes letters from H. Martin Holman, Frank Harris. Some letters in French.
  9. Printed lists of the authorised editions of Wilde's work allowed to be sold in the United Kingdom. Includes: lists of editions of works offered for sale by Messrs Methuen & Co. Ltd [1908]; covering letter from H. Martin Holmes to A.G. Ross, 29 Mar 1920; list of London booksellers who received the list, 22 Apr 1920; proofs and five copies of final print of list [Mar-Apr 1920].
  10. Envelope labels and pink tape from original packaging, with envelope marked 'Old Agreements' [in Wilde's hand, with signature]. 8 items.
