Photograph album with interleaved handwritten descriptions with negative numbers.
Narrative, photographic journal of camping holiday by car (a continuation of Album 7) via Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming and Virginia, including Cedar Breaks National Monument, Grand Tetons National Park and Yellowstone National Park, 26 Jul-13 Aug. 1950. At the back of the album are photographs of Tony and Dorothy Skyrme punting on the River Cherwell in Oxford (60/10 & 60/6), July 1948, plus a photograph of the front of the home of Rudolf Peierls in Birmingham (60/13) and of his son, Ronald (60/16) outside the home, Aug. 1948. Aren, loose-leaf photograph album No. 702 with petrol blue, buckram cover. 27 black card leaves of photographs (recto & verso), interleaved with typewritten, dated captions and negative numbers on paper. The album comprises 42 black and white and 44 larger format (faded) colour (93, 98, 100, 103) prints selected from Skyrme's numbered negative sets, 60, 78, 93, 95-103.
