Narrative, photographic journal of camping holiday 'by car from Princeton, to Charlottesville, Va, through Shenendoah National Park, south along the Blue Ridge Parkway into N. Carolina; west through Gt. Smoky Mountains National Park into Tennesse, Alabama, and Mississippi; crossed into Arkansas at Greenville; through Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle, entering Mexico at Clovis', including Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado to Denver, then back to Princeton, 'straight East to St. Joseph, Mo., and St. Louis. Home through Cincinnatti, W.Va and Md', including Lincoln National Park, Apache National Park and the Hoover (Boulder) Dam, 'July 1-Aug. 13 [actually Jul. 25], 1950'. Geological formations and flora feature prominently. Aren, loose-leaf photograph album No. 702 with black, buckram cover. 30 black card leaves of photographs (recto & verso), interleaved with typewritten, dated captions and negative numbers on paper. The album comprises 64 black and white and 38 larger format colour (86, 90, 93) prints selected from Skyrme's numbered negative sets, 83-95.
