Biographical / Historical

General Election Memoranda, typically shortened to G.E. Memos, was a series of publications produced by the National Union of Conservative and Unionist Associations at each general election during the 1920s. Designed as a resource for candidates, each series of memoranda consisted of short pamphlets produced throughout each election campaign, in a similar manner to the Daily Notes series. Unlike Daily Notes however, each issue of General Election Memoranda tended to focus on a single topic or theme.

Related Materials

A later series, also with the title Election Memoranda, was produced by Conservative Central Office during the post-war period. Unlike the interwar series, this series focused on practical election management issues and was designed to supplement the contents of the election manual.
