Clarke, Fellow of Corpus and Edwin Palmer, Archdeacon of Oxford, to explain the conduct which led to his confinement in an asylum in Fulham in 1878 and prolonged travel abroad. The discursive account of his own life is interspersed with reflections on biblical, historical and political subjects.

Memoirs of Sir George Farrar

Memoirs of Sir George Farrar assembled into seven typewritten chapters by his daughter, Viscountess Muriel Frances Lowther. The memoirs describe the foundation of Farrar's family firm of mining engineers, his part in the Johannesburg Reform Movement and imprisonment after the Jameson Raid, with associated letters on current South African politics, etc.
