Collection of vocal and instrumental music, inscribed 'Contratenor. I.P.'
A single partbook containing vocal and instrumental music for various voice-parts (mostly Contratenor). First and third sequences contain works for 6 voices; the second only 5-voice works. Copied by several scribes. Some pieces have text incipits or titles only. Of English origin with possible connections with Sir John Petre (1549-1613), of Ingatestone, Essex, [c 1575-1586].
