Thirty-four coats of arms belonging to the houses of the counts of Boulogne and Auvergne in France, and of de la Chambre in Savoy, painted in their proper colours, preceded by a short genealogical introduction, and accompanied (except with regard to seven at the end) with notices of the personages by whom they were borne, bulk: 16th century
The first coat is that of Philippe de la Chambre, "à present cardinal de Bologne," who died in 1550. The following heading is attached to the Introduction: "Icy est la descendance de la maison de Bologne dont est yssue madame Anne de Bologne, duchesse d'Albanye, et contesse de la Chambre." On a fly-leaf at the end is the following note of Dr. Rawlinson's: "Here are seventeen leaves of coats of armour. R. R. See Baluzius of the family of Auvergne, says Mr. Anstis."…
