The subjects include the Kenya Meat Commission, Maize, Pyrethrum, and a proposed Customs Union with Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), but Federation and politics play a larger part.

Correspondence relating to meetings, or to topics for discussion, is included, as are relevant reports, for instance Blundell's report on Under-Secretaries. The contents are divided into two sections, the European Union Conference Standing Committee (items 1-73) and the European Union and Welfare Society (items 1-76).

Also includes correspondence about constituency concerns.
