'Daybook' kept by R. Freeman for postgraduate work in the Physical Chemistry Laboratory Oxford, 1955-1956. Freeman was one of Richards's most distinguished research students. In 1987 he became John Humphrey Plummer Professor of Magnetic Resonance at Cambridge University.
