Deeds and papers of the late Mrs John Hautenville Cope. This is an artificial collection and there is no apparent connection between many of the documents. Title deeds, etc., relating to the estates of the Duke of Marlborough. The presence of this last group of papers is difficult to explain but it may be noted that a Miss Cope received a legacy of £50 from Susan Dowager Duchess of Marlborough, who died in 1841. Comprises:
- (T/1-9) Deeds of Duke of Marlborough Estates
- (F25-33) Marlborough papers
- (E1-20) Estate papers
- (L1) Legal papers.
