Biographical / Historical

Lady Beatrix Maud Palmer (d 1950), née Gascoyne-Cecil, was wife of the 2nd Earl of Selborne. Sir Patrick Duncan (1870-1943) was a South African Statesman and Governor General. Details for Sir Patrick Duncan are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The microfilms were given to the Library by the University of Cape Town Libraries, 1975 and 1976.

Existence and Location of Copies

The originals are located in University of Cape Town Libraries (Patrick Duncan papers BC294 D.4.1.1.-D5.31.8 and G-J).
