Biographical / Historical
Geoffrey W. Petts (1927-2008) began volunteering for Oxfam in March 1955 and was an employee from 1959 to 1987 and then on contract until 1990. As Regional Organiser he established the foundations of Oxfam in the North West of England and as Area Director from May 1973 he developed Oxfam's work in the North West, North Wales, Cumbria, the Isle of Man and the Pennines.
Between 1965 and 1982 he produced a number of films for Oxfam, including 'Forty Years On' to mark Oxfam's 40th anniverary in 1982.
