Biographical / Historical
Algar Ronald Ward Robertson (1902-1975) worked as Assistant Treasurer, Gold Coast (Ghana), 1929-1936, and Deputy Treasurer, British Guiana (Guyana), 1936-1939. He was Financial Secretary in Fiji, 1940-1948, Trinidad and Tobago, 1948-1953, Nigeria, 1953-1954, and the Federation of Nigeria, 1954-1956. He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in 1948 and the CMG (Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George) in 1953.
