Custodial History

Rex Cheverton's connection with Rhodes House Library dates back to 1963, when he was first approached to donate his papers to the Oxford Colonial Records Project. However, at this time he was working on a history of the West African Medical Service and was reluctant to part with any of his private papers and research materials to the library, though he did donate a number of published reports relating to health in the Commonwealth.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Donated by Joan Cheverton in 1991.
