The Expedition Council meets biannually and exists to judge, and if appropriate, approve and recommend to the Hebdomadal Council of the University expedition proposals presented by members of the University who wish their expeditions to use the title 'Oxford University Expedition to...'. The Expedition Council is advised by the Oxford University Exploration Club Advisory Committee.

These papers comprise Expedition Council minutes and memoranda as well as reports on expedition proposals submitted by the Exploration Club Advisory Committee, 1963-2004.
