Arrangement

Note: At the beginning of this volume, a group of papers, mainly dating from 29 May-8 Jul, but including a letter dated Dec 1891, have apparently been misplaced in binding. They are listed here in chronological sequence as in the original index. Item 114, with which this list begins, is to be found following a group of letters from Beit to Rhodes (1-8 Jul), originally indexed in MSS. Afr. s. 228, C24 and subsequently inserted here as MSS. Afr. s. 228, 3A/2, items 178a-c, 179a-b.

Items 177-180 are listed and in some cases bound out of chronological order
