Deputy Chairman of Conservative Party, 1959-1999, folder includes: Central Council Annual Meeting programme, 17-18 Mar 1960; Report of the Policy Committee on Economic Growth, 1962; Report of the Women's Policy Group, 9 Jul 1963; Summary of discussions which took place at a meeting at Chequers, 28 Apr 1963; material concerning the succession to the Conservative Party leadership, following Harold Macmillan's resignation as Prime Minister, 19 Oct 1963, including a paper on 'The Macmillan Succession' written by Lord Aldington, 11 Feb 1981, and an account of the 'Resignation of Mr. Macmillan in October 1963' written by Sir Peter Wilkinson, Aug 1999, who had been an Under-Secretary in the Cabinet Office at the time.
