Copies of monthly and annual reports on conditions and operations in the mines of the Group, compiled by the Consulting Engineers and forwarded by Rand Mines to the London office of Central Mining. After Dec 1958, fuller annual reports were substituted for the monthly information on operations, which was reduced to the form of tabulated returns for Moir's. Comprises:
- folder 1 (fols. 1-39 and 1 item) miscellaneous memoranda and correspondence on the organisation of the Consulting Engineers (or 'Technical') Department, 1953-1958
- folder 2 (fols. 1-54) annual reports submitted by the Consulting Geologists to the Consulting Engineers' Department, 1961-1965
- (items 1-4) annual reports of the Consulting Engineers Department (bound items), 1960-1963.
