Each folder contains a handlist of contents:

  1. folder 1 (fols. 1-30) 'Dr F.E. Keep': Correspondence, mainly between Eric Keep in Toronto and A.J. Brett in the London office in wartime. Keep's letters comment on politics and industry in Canada, and Brett's report mining progress in Australia and South Africa. There are a few office letters about Keep's Central Mining career after his recall in 1943, 1941-1943; 1952; and 1957
  2. folder 2 (fols. 1-221) 'Places: Canada No. 1': Correspondence and memoranda on the mining and investment situation in Canada; from 1957, the papers refer mainly to the Royal ['Borden'] Commission on Energy and aspects of the oil industry, 1937; 1942; 1945; 1951-1952; 1955-1957; 1959-1961; and 1963-1964 [see also MSS. Brit. Emp. s. 412/56, folder 5, items 1-2, employment opportunities for women in 1949]
  3. folder 3: Trans-Canada Pipe Lines Ltd.: Unfoliated print items, including miscellaneous correspondence, share prices, etc., 1963-1965; and (items 1-2) submissions to the Borden Commission by groups of independent Canadian oil companies, Feb Jul 1958
  4. folder 4: Nitinat Timber Lease: Correspondence and financial statements, 1941-1946
  5. folder 5: Victoria Syndicate Limited: Correspondence relating to liquidation, 1941-1944.
