Africa, Southern: The materials of mining - Gold (the product), 1920-1965
Folders 1-3 concern Southern African Reserve Bank Agreements. They consist mainly of memoranda, agreements, and correspondence between the Gold Producers' Committee, its members, and the Reserve Bank about devaluation and the gold standard; the price, refining, and disposal of gold. There are also related press cuttings. Comprises:

Folder 4 (fols. 1-119) 'Currency': Containing a miscellany of private and official correspondence, memoranda, texts of addresses, magazine and newspaper articles, and cuttings on international attitudes to currency problems, and their effect on the gold mining industry, 1925; 1932-1933; 1939; 1943-1951; and 1961-1965.
