This company was formed in 1926 with Central Mining's participation; the latter withdrew in 1951, 1926-1939; 1945; 1949-1952; and 1954 [see also MSS. Brit. Emp. s. 412/48, folders 3-4].

folder 5 (fols. 1-70) Lead mining: Inter-office memoranda, correspondence, and press cuttings concerning the Mukwamba lead-sulphide deposit and its working by the Uruwira Minerals Company Ltd., the construction of a railway to the area, and the capital structure of the Uruwira company (reports and plans of the mine and its location form fols. 11-23, 38-51), 1946-1960.
