  2. (fols. 6-11) note, marked 'Secret', of an interview with Henry Pasen, an Indian member of the government, about the Attorney-General, R.S. Aucher Warner. There are references also to Colonel May, Inspector-General of Constabulary, 14 Mar 1920
  3. (fols. 12-15) note of conversations with Mr Secretary Colby, about Woodrow Wilson, America's attitude towards Russia, and the question of self-government for India and Egypt, 19-20 Jan 1921
  4. (fols. 16-24) two versions of a speech in reply to the address of the City Council of Port-of-Spain. There is particular reference to the problems of providing an ample supply of water to the city, 23 and 24 May 1921
  5. (fols. 25-44) draft and four copies of a note headed 'Observations on Colonial Office' (in the draft this runs, 'Unification of Colonial Civil Service'), with a note in Chancellor's hand that copies were given to Sir J. The note emphasises the desirability of officials in the Colonial Office having first-hand knowledge of the Colonies in their charge, and of continuity of policy, 1 Nov 1921.
