(fols. 1A-126) two letters from Chancellor to his wife and 31 letters (one incomplete) from him to Henry Yates Thompson (see MSS. Brit. Emp. s. 284/3, folder 4). The first three letters describe Chancellor's visit to America, en route to Trinidad, including interviews with Colonel Roosevelt and President Wilson (see also MSS. Brit. Emp. s. 284/21, MF 34, fols. 58-70), 13 May 1916-7 May 1921
(fols. 127-131) notes and draft of a letter from Chancellor to Sir William Tyrrell about the interviews referred to above, and giving his impressions of Sir Cecil Spring-Rice, British Ambassador in Washington, n.d. [May 1916].
