The second 'Confidential' (fols. 300-302), the third, (fols. 304-305) enclosing copy of his to Emmott (fol. 303), all concerning:
- Leverhulme's methods of obtaining part of the money for Glyns at stiff terms through Lazard Brothers and Finance Houses
- Trigge 'seriously disconcerted... [Leverhulme] has not found a penny but has pledged the Niger Company's credit without consulting the Chairman or a single member of the Niger Board about it' (fol. 303)
- Leverhulme accompanied at meeting by McDowell and [D'Arcy] Cooper, 'who... acts as a kind of accountant; and financial adviser' (fol. 300)
- Lever Bros occupied with own financial arrangements; Company 'should remain firm about the capital needs' (fol. 301), but difficulty in getting Stock Exchange quotation though issue prepared.
Also notes improved sales; G.C. Christians annual meeting; [G.R.] Matthews, Secretary to Northern Nigeria administration, looking for employment with Levers.
