Both concerning:
- increased freight charges instituted on the takeover of Elder Dempster steamers by the Shipping Controller
- request for special consideration for cargoes of groundnuts sold in advance and locked up by transport difficulties
- annual meeting of Groundnut Trade deferred awaiting reply, and suspension of seasonal buying in the absence of reassurance.
