Biographical / Historical

Gen. C.G. Woolner, CB, MC, born 1893. Educated at Marlborough College, Royal Military Academy. Obtained a commission with the Royal Engineers, 1912. War service, 1914-1918; Survey Duty in Gold Coast (Ghana), 1920-1923; served in the UK, 1924-1927; in India 1930-1934; in the British Expeditionary Forces, 1939.

Commander, 81 (West Africa) Div. in India and Burma (Myanmar), 1943-1945.
