  1. manuscript describing Norfolk Island, assumed to be in the hand of Charles Sturt (fols. 2-42). There is an accompanying letter from Harris Browne to Mrs Beatrix [N.G.] Sturt, dated 4 Feb 1900 (fol. 1)
  2. (fols. 43-169) letters, primarily to Beatrix Sturt, following her publication of the Life of Charles Sturt, 1895-1904. Much is from Harris Browne, Darling, Eyre, and Davenport; other correspondents include: James Smith, Campbell, J.M. Lock, Jane Gawler, Christiana Sturt, P. Wood, Edward Burke-Wood, Reginald Smith, Margaret, Giles Strangways, Stephanie Wood, Luise Becke, etc. A few newspaper cuttings are found amid the letters (fols. 93, 108, 152, 161) as well as the obituary of Sir Ralph Darling, 1858 (fol. 43).
