Papers connected with an official enquiry by Wilson into an error of judgement by a District Commissioner, Mar 1943-Aug 1945
folder
Held at the Weston Library
The District Commissioner had decided to deal himself with a charge brought against a sub-chief instead of letting the case be heard in the District Court of Bukoba. The case was resubmitted to the Court and the sub-chief, Mwami Antonini, acquitted of being in possession of 'moshi', an illegally distilled liquor, on grounds of insufficient evidence.
