Folder 2 (fols. 1-433) 1 Dec 1927-4 May 1931:

letters from his parents (chiefly from his mother, 'B.R.B.'), in Scotland, to Boyd, in Sarawak, filed in reverse chronological order, with a few enclosures. His mother's letters are about family affairs and friends and events in the United Kingdom, with many references to Boyd's weekly letters from Sarawak.

Folder 3 (fols. 1-179) 22 Jan [1933]-16 Jul 1934:

letters from his mother to Boyd in Sarawak, filed in reverse chronological order, beginning with her departure from Kuching after her visit to Sarawak, 1931-1933.
