A[nna] G[urney] to Buxton; covering letter, advising him to ask William Allen about the Friends' Settlement at Cape St. Mary made in 1821 and Rendell's account of the effect upon the indigenous peoples, 24 Apr 1839
Priscilla Johnston to Buxton about her mother's state of health and the dressing of the wound on her son's head. She writes that she was trying to focus her thoughts on the outline for the second volume of his book but was experiencing too many interruptions due to her sick child to have much success. She describes how much they all looked forward to his coming to Northrepps and asks if Edward could come with him, 24 Apr 1839
Andrew Johnston to Buxton reporting that their anxiety over the baby, Buxton, had ended, though not that over Hannah. He informs him that their thoughts would be with him at the Council meeting. He reports that his geographical sketch was progressing and was nearly ready thanks to Anna's help. They were eager to hear his latest news, 24 Apr 1839.
