She reports that there had been a gratifying attendance though the hall had not been full, lists the agenda, and comments on several items, such as Lord John Russell's speech, an inspiring one by Wilberforce, and a brief elegant one by Edward Buxton, which had referred to his father's continuing strong faith despite his illness.
