The committee had agreed to wait until more was known about the farm before deciding to close it. Edward was pleased at this decision and was going to see Lord Stanley. Finally, she reports that they were expecting the arrival of their brother and that Lushington and his party were staying at Upton and they had seen him the previous day. (Copy.)
