Buxton to Bunting and Beecham, secretaries to the Wesleyan Missionary Society, about having read their Society's notices for Jan, including an account of their workers in Jamaica; he was therefore sending a subscription from himself and from several members of his family, 15 Jan 1842
He thanks them for their response to his recent letter and informs them he was returning to London and hoped to hear the response of their Society to the question he had asked, intimating that the present subscription would not prevent him supporting any appeal they should make in this regard.
