Buxton to Trew, saying that he had had a heavy cold and it would be some days before he could travel, 9 Jan 1842
He was perfectly willing to act with evangelical churchmen in spreading the light of the gospel in Africa, and Trew might announce this; in confidence, he adds that the same applied to Methodists and Quakers. He asks him to have a copy of his book, well-bound, sent to Sir George Back to present to the Grand Duke of Tuscany if this had not already been done. (Copy.)
