Thomas Pyne to Buxton, describing the departure of the Ashanti princes on board the 'Albert', the opportunity afforded him to sail across Plymouth Sound with them in the 'Albert' before returning to Devonport by boat, the state of mind of the ship's company, the salute given to the 'Albert' and the 'Wilberforce' by the companies of the ships in the Sound, and the mooring of a captured slaver close by their berth, which he took to be an omen, 13 May 1841
Finally, he mentions the kind reception the two Africans had had in Plymouth. (Copy.)
