Buxton to G.R. Porter, returning the London Journal of Commerce after having the article on trade with Eastern Africa copied, 19 Apr 1841
He reports that Lushington agreed with him that they could not make use of Sturz's offer because they must continue with the measures they deemed most conducive to the abolition of slavery in Brazil, though he still thought they might come to some arrangement with him over the translation of his book. He was writing by the same post to Stokes to tell him to supply Sturz with as many copies of the book as he required. (Copy.)
