Buxton to Trew, asking why he did not open the letters addressed to himself at the office, reporting on the contents of letters from Prince Albert (pp. 217a-d), the Duc de Broglie (pp. 205a-d,) and Jacob Graberg about his appointment to membership of the Society, and asking if he wanted them for inclusion in the Friend of Africa, 15 Apr 1841
He informs him that he had written to Lord John Russell and that Lushington opposed any public meeting that year and he asks whether Stokes could send him a paper on the East African Coast in the London Journal of Commerce of 4 Jul 1840. He invites him to join him at Leamington for the sake of his health. (Copy.)
