Buxton to Trotter, a farewell letter referring him to Psalm 121, sending his best wishes to Lieutenants Fishbourne and Strange, Captain William Allen, Dr McWilliam, and the other officers, 13 Apr 1841
He asks him to tell Dr Stanger how he had searched Cromer for him after missing him at Northrepps and adds that the relatives of Cocroft had asked him to put in a good word for him. He also asks him to deliver three letters that he was enclosing to friends of his, if the opportunity arose, and informs him that he might receive a paper from Captain Taylor. (Memoir, p. 528.)
