St. George was going to Sierra Leone as an ordnance storekeeper and he asks Jeremie's wife and daughter to take note of his wife. He mentions the delay with Becroft's expedition because of the lowness of water in the river and the benefit this news had proved to their own expedition. He asks for news from him in Sierra Leone and observes that he must have had a rough passage and that in Norfolk they had had a very cold, windy winter, though Hannah had survived the excessive cold better than they could have expected.
