Buxton to William Forster, asking him to provide Jeremie with Boyle's essay on the production resources of India before his departure and to let him know it was a present from him, 9 Nov 1840
He approves the two resolutions Forster had proposed. He suggests that Trotter be asked about taking men with him from Sierra Leone and that they be selected at once if he agreed. He refuses to commit himself about the sum of money they should put at Jeremie's disposal. Finally, he expresses the wish that Gurley could be persuaded to sell them the books on Liberia that he had brought to England. (Copy.)
