Buxton to Trew, about the number of agents needed to publicise their project, Knibb's hostility to them, as reported by Sabine, Rev. Glyn Carr's letter warning about Davis, and his advice to Carr to hold his hand until Lord Ashley gave him permission to act, 14 Sep 1840
He mentions Hankinson had told him that Brindley had beaten Socialism out of Norfolk and that the Socialist had run away from Yarmouth. He records his interest in hearing about Trew's visit to Glasgow and his intention that the committee should resume work in Oct, and points out that McQueen had been proved right about the navigability of the Formosa Channel.
