Buxton to Dr G. Babington, about how difficult it was for him to cease his work just then when so much required attention in London, which those engaged in parliamentary business were not free to undertake, 13 Jul 1840
He suggests that if he went carefully for the next six weeks and then took a holiday in Sep it might serve. If Babington disagreed, he suggests he furnish him with a certificate to prove to his colleagues that he was not wilfully deserting them. (Copy.)
