He describes his insomnia that night, which was alleviated by Fowell reading to him from Cowper, his delight in that poet, and his playful edict in imitation of Napoleon that he would hold an examination of all his nephews and nieces in the poet the next Jun. (Memoir, p. 456.) (Copy.)
