Palmerston to Buxton, agreeing to see him on his return to London to discuss the arguments he should use with the Pope and to make arrangements for his slave trade correspondence to travel in the Florence bag, but refusing a courier passport as he only used those for bona fide messengers, explaining that unless he was going to travel day and night, one would be of little use to him, 4 Nov 1839
